Doris Jane Pfeiffer

Doris Jane Pfeiffer, 92, of Corydon, died Friday, October 26, 2018, at her home near Corydon.  She was born September 8, 1926, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Herman Michael and Bertha Stepro Kopp.  She was owner, with her husband “Bud”, of Pfeiffer’s Jewelers in Corydon and was a member of Community of Hope Church of the Nazarene in Corydon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernie Lee “Bud” Pfeiffer; her sons, John and Larry Pfeiffer; her grandson, Tim Pfeiffer; her brothers, Russell, Roger and Donald Kopp; and her sisters, Betty Bruner, Ruth Anna Kopp and Marilyn Jean Kopp.

Survivors include her sons, Jim Pfeiffer (Jeanette) of North Vernon, Indiana, Joe Pfeiffer (Stephanie Vines) of Salem, Indiana and Tom Pfeiffer (Sherry) of Corydon; her daughter, Barbara Boley (Maurice) of Elizabeth, Indiana; her daughter in law, Karen Pfeiffer of Greensburg, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Michael P. Elliott will officiate.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Corydon.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Hosparus Health or Community of Hope Church of the Nazarene.

Pallbearers will be Randall Boley, Randall Boley, Jr., Jon Pfeiffer, Brandon Pfeiffer, Cole Pfeiffer, Zack Davis, Danny Turner, and Roger Turner.
