Carrie "Evelyn" Brown

Carrie “Evelyn” Brown, 100, of Corydon, died Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  She was born May 28, 1919 near Corydon, to the late D. Joe and Allie May Haas Windell.  She was a member of the New Shiloh Pilgrim Holiness Church near Corydon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Marion Brown; her grandsons, Richard Heatwole, Jr. and Jason Seal; and her brothers, John Harold Windell and Darrell Windell.

Survivors include her sons, C. Marion Brown, Jr. (Shirley) of Evansville, Indiana, and Joe C. Brown (Carol) and David A. Brown (Karyn) both of Circleville, Ohio; her daughters, Patricia Ann Heatwole (Richard) of Corydon and Susan Brown Seal (Harold Jr.) of Port St. Lucie, Florida; her sister, Jeanette Watson (Carlton) of Corydon; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2019, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. C Marion Brown, Jr., Dr. Joe C. Brown, Rev. David A. Brown, and Rev. Mark Rankee will officiate.  Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery near Corydon.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the New Shiloh Pilgrim Holiness Church Family Life Center or 4:34 Ministries at Heidelberg United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Charles Marion Brown, II, Joe Craig Brown, II, Christopher Mark Brown, Jonathan Aaron Brown, Harold Seal, III, and Joshua Mark Seal.
