Boyd M. “Buzz” Painter, 84, of Corydon, died Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon. He was born October 6, 1932, in Onego, West Viriginia, to the late Noah and Ethel Morral Painter. He was a retired construction worker, was a member of the V. F. W. Post 1693 in New Albany, Indiana, and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alta Fay Steward Painter, his parents, his grandson, Tanner Hublar, and his brothers, Carl and David Painter.
Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Kessler (Richard) of Corydon; his brothers, Charles Painter of Norfolk, Virginia and Paul Painter of Carrollton, Ohio; his sisters, Faye Fishburn of Nashville, Tennessee and Carolyn Painter Williams of Inman, South Carolina; his two grandchildren, Shawn Hublar and April Missi; his two great grandchildren, Charlize Hublar and Brooklyn McCoy; and his two great great grandchildren, Kayden and Wesson Dorado.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Michael P. Elliott will officiate. Burial will be in the Central Barren Cemetery in Central Barren.
Visitation will be from 12 noon – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
