Betty Pearl Briles

Betty Pearl Briles, 74, of Corydon, died Monday, April 22, 2019, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.  She was born June 1, 1944, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Clifford R. and Lavina Curts Schwartz.  She was a homemaker and attended Shiloh Pilgrim Holiness Church near Corydon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jesse L. Briles; her daughter, Beverly Ann Briles; and her brother, Melvin Schwartz.

Survivors include her son, Richard R. Briles of Corydon; her daughter, Angela K. Briles (Ricky Gentry) of New Salisbury, Indiana; her granddaughter, Jessica Wright (Eric) of New Salisbury; her great grandchildren, Madalynn and Mason Wright; and her sisters, Linda Wheeler of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Ruth Woodward (Woody) of Corydon.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Allen Smith will officiate.  Burial will be in Potato Run Cemetery near Corydon.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Eric Wright, Woody Woodward, Vincent, David and Daniel Joe Duke, and Mark Rosenbarger.
