Arthur G. Myers, 82, of New Salisbury, Indiana, died Monday, April 23, 2018, at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana. He was born April 10, 1936, in North Judson, Indiana, to the late Frank J. and Hazel Nichols Myers. He was the owner of M & M Cable Service where he worked as a telephone company contractor, was the owner and operator of 2 farms in Washington and Corydon, Indiana, was a member of Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon, was a Master Mason with the Blue Lodge chapter #461 and a member of the Order of Eastern Star chapter #461 where he served 3 times as Worthy Patron both in Glendale, Indiana, was a member of the Hadi Shrine and the Scottish Rite in Evansville, Indiana, was a former Boy Scout master in New Richmond, Indiana, was a member of the Boots and Saddles horse club in Washington, was a veteran of the U.S. Army reserves, and he loved to square dance with his wife, Margaret.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Frank Myers; and his sister, Julia Rodenbeck.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Y. Robinson Myers; his son, Keith A. Myers of Indianapolis; his daughter, Dawn K. Myers Wrinn (Allan) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; his brother, Howard Myers (Debbie) of Ogden, Utah; and his sisters, Joan Norem of New Carlisle, Indiana, Harriet Kajer of North Judson, Indiana, and Janet Ackerman of San Pierre, Indiana.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Andy Hansen will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at the New Veale Creek Cemetery in Washington, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
There will be an Order of Eastern Star and Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Old Capitol United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
