Albert Lewis Touchette, 71, of Corydon, died Monday, December 9, 2019, at Indian Creek Healthcare Center in Corydon. He was born August 28, 1948, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to the late Ernest Albert and Jean Rosalie Wallace Touchette. He was a retired operating engineer for the Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville, was a member of First Capital Christian Church in Corydon, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and a U.S. Air Force reservist for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Marie Cagle; and his brother, Linus Mark Touchette.
Survivors include his wife, Joan A. Reising Touchette; his sons, Louis Touchette (Kari) and Jason Touchette; his daughter, Cheryl Brighton; his brothers, Tom Touchette (Carol), Eugene Touchette (Judy), Harold Touchette (LeChu), Mark Touchette (Judy), and John Touchette (Debbie); his sisters, Leah McAtee (Bill), Joan Montroy (Dennis), and Nina Rusmussen (Keith); and his grandchildren, Logan Cagle, Wren Brighton, and Race Brighton.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Randy Kirk will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to First Capital Christian Church.
Pallbearers will be Louis Touchette, Adam Reising, Jonathan Cagle, Lawrence Ingle, Dave Zerby and David Brighton. Honorary pallbearer will be Gordon Ingle.
