William A. “Bill” Dobson, 73, of Corydon, died Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon. He was born March 28, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Charles “Johnny” and Carrie Parker Dobson. He was a retired supervisor and forklift driver at Thorn-Orwick in Corydon, was formerly employed at Keller Manufacturing Company in Corydon and at the old Indiana Army Ammunition Bag Plant near Charlestown, Indiana, and was a member of the Old Capital CB Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Bobby Gene Dobson and his sister, Mary Ann Summers.
Survivors include his son, Hank Dobson of New Albany, Indiana; his daughters, Patty Dobson of Corydon and Carrie Dobson of New Albany; his brother, Larry Dobson of Corydon; his sister, Joyce Branham of Palmyra, Indiana; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Dr. Stephen Faith will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Lind, Devan Bush, DeAngelo Simmons, Dustin Pettit, Kahlier Dobson, Kendal Benbow and Lane Flickner.
