Verne Davis Pinaire, 97, of Corydon, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.  He was born May 7, 1920, in Ramsey, Indiana, to the late Rolla and Audra Davis Pinaire.  He was retired from Ford Motor Company in Louisville after 30 years, was a retired farmer, was a member and parish visitor at Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon, was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2950 in Corydon and the American Legion, and was a U.S. Army Air Forces veteran of WWII, from 1942-1946, where he served in Africa and India.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances Joan Stover Pinaire; his brothers, Ermal “Bud” and Kenneth Pinaire; and his granddaughter, Erin Lough.

 

Survivors include his daughters, Julia Ann Reed Ragsdale of Austin, Texas and Barbara Jean Pinaire (Bill Lough) of Stuart, Florida; his brother, James Pinaire (Bonnie) of Ramsey; and his grandchildren, Bobbie Ragsdale and Trevelyn Lough.

 

Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

 

Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

 

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Old Capitol United Methodist Church.
