Velda Marie Wolfe, 95, of Corydon, died Monday, August 22, 2016, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.  She was born June 13, 1921, in Jackson County, Indiana, to the late Glenn and Goldie Hanner Stilwell.  She was formerly employed at Arvin Industries in Columbus, Indiana, at Public Service Indiana in Corydon and at Lifespan Resources, and was a member of the Corydon United Methodist Church, the V.F.W. Post 2950 Ladies Auxiliary in Corydon, the Hornickle Post 379 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Elizabeth, Indiana, the Order of Eastern Star, and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ray F. Wolfe.

Survivors include her son, Philip Owen Wolfe, Sr. of Corydon; her sister, June Marlene Cockerham of Clear Spring, Indiana; her grandchildren, Philip Owen Wolfe, Jr. and Zachary Ryan Wolfe both of Pittman, New Jersey; and her great grandson, Philip M. Wolfe.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Reverand Janet Kelley will officate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
