Sherman Lee Carmichael, 69, died Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.  He was born June 1, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late James and Verna Marlow Hornback Carmichael.  He was the owner of ABC Vacuum Service in Corydon and ABC Detective Agency in Louisville, was a former loan agent for Modern Loan Company and Kentucky Finance, and was a member of First Capital Christian Church in Corydon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jason Carmichael; and his brothers, James “Jimmy Ray” and Norman Carmichael.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela D. Richard Carmichael; his daughters, Allison Beth Carney (Jamie) and Alanna Brook Fowler (Eric) both of Corydon; his sister, Shirley Carmichael of Louisville; and his grandchildren, Ally and Anna Lopp, Lilly Carney, and Jalen, Layla, Brody and Kenan Fowler.

There will be a celebration of life service at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Randy Kirk will officiate. 

The memorial visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the American Stroke Foundation or First Capital Christian Church.
