Ruby W. Fravel, 91, of Corydon, died Friday, December 30, 2016, at her home near Corydon.  She was born April 30, 1925, in Paxton, Illinois, to the late Claude E. Rhodes, Sr. and Orpha Pearl Walker Rhodes.  She was formerly employed at Conrad’s Music Store in Corydon and was a member of Heidelberg United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, John Harold Windell and Harold E. Fravel; her granddaughter, Kimberly Dawn Windell; her great granddaughter, Kaelyn Jenifer Windell; her brother, Claude E. Rhodes, Jr. and her sister, Edna Leona Taylor.

Survivors include her sons, Rev. John E. Windell (Karen) of Stendal, Indiana, Richard A. Windell (Deborah) of Hart, Michigan and Larry F. Windell (Suzanne) of Corydon; her step son, Lewis Fravel of Corydon; her step daughter, Mary Fravel of Corydon; 7 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Heidelberg United Methodist Church near Corydon.  Pastor Rob Pryor and Pastor C. Marion Brown will officiate.  Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Heidelberg United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Chad, Jason, Greg and Jacob Windell, Taran and Ethan Rennirt and Joseph West.  Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Angela, Kara, Lori, Rachel and Jodi.
