Richard Allen Best, 55, died Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at his home in Corydon. He was born July 28, 1961, in New Albany, Indiana, to Mildred Nichols Best and the late Charles J. Best. He was the owner and operator of Tindall Small Engine, and was a member of the National Rifle Association, the North American Fishing Club, the North American Hunting Club and the North American Rifle Association.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa L. Eddleman Best; his mother of Elizabeth; his sons, Nick Best of Elizabeth, Bill Best (Jamie Emily) of Corydon, and Wesley Best (Kayla) of Central, Indiana; his daughters, Brandi Milan (Billy) of New Albany, Indiana, Abby Best of Corydon, Beth Ann Wiseman (Joey) of Central, Tara Soots (Nick) of Elizabeth, and Morgan and Megan Best both of Corydon; his brother, Wilbert T. Best of Elizabeth; his sisters, Berretta L. Best and Rachel L. Best (Janet McElroy) both of Elizabeth; 19 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and his Goddaughter, MaKayla Grace.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 24, 2016, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Mike Kurz will officiate. Burial will be in Central Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dave Pike, Steven Tindall, John Eddleman, Jeremy Willis, Sr., Anthony Robinson, Dale Hart, Russell Kopp & Lloyd Kirkham. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Turner, Ronnie Stepro, Larry Trivette and Charles Tindall, Jr..
