“A great man, he lived his life for the Lord, a tough cookie, a good man of God, he touched the lives of many, had a big loving heart, a special friend, a wonderful man, a precious man, a sweet man, his smile would light a room, we loved him, revered member of the extended Miller family, always kind, his laugh and sweet spirit was such a blessing, a wonderful dad, a good soldier for the Lord,  without a doubt he is in heaven, a very special being, my pastor”: these are comments from friends and family who loved and cared about our father.  Knowing Daddy, he would be very appreciative but most of all he would want to be remembered as a minister of the gospel, who loved Christ and loved his family.

Daddy played basketball and graduated from Jackson High School in Arcadia, IN and completed his ministerial studies at Frankfort Pilgrim College in Frankfort, IN.  He pastored in Leisure, IN – Richmond, IN – Nappanee, IN – Elwood City, PA – Corydon, IN – Anderson, IN and Indianapolis, IN.

Thank you to Hosparus, especially Debbie, for the wonderful loving care provided to my father during his physically weakest moments. We will always love you and be grateful.

In his last month, prior to being protected from his pain by the comprehensive medicine, daddy would still interact with the care team with his own special humor and sweet smile.  One of the team said to me the afternoon of his passing, that many times during the night hours when daddy was alone, he would hear him talking, and would check in to find him talking to his best friend, Jesus.

To the caring team from the Historic Villages of Silvercrest – Laurie, Linda, Sara, Rachel, Chris and Thomas just to name a few.  Your care was so appreciated by this family and your hugs and tears at his passing were needed and you will always, always be remembered by your care, compassion and love for my dad.  Thank you

Daddy, we your family, will always love you and we are so grateful for the extended time that God allotted to us to enjoy your fatherhood and you friendship.  Your sweetness and your wisdom flowed through your every interaction with us. As we cherish you in our memories, we know you, with Mother by your side, are enjoying the riches of your heavenly home in the Presence of your Savior.  From the perspective of Eternity, we will see you soon.
