Norma Rose Ritz Williams, 79, of Corydon, died Saturday, May 14, 2016, at her home in Corydon. She was born August 14, 1936, in Louisville, to the late Edward Joseph and Lula Belle Porter Ritz. She was a retired CNA for Hospice and Home Health, Harrison County Hospital and Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center all in Corydon and was a member of Lincoln Hills Christian Church in Corydon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Loretta Rene Hudson; her brothers, Robert Dennis Ritz, Clarence Edward Ritz, Donald John Ritz, Joseph Anthony Ritz, and Phillip Leo Ritz; and her sister, Charlotte Louise McCue.
Survivors include her son, Thomas L. Williams of Seymour, Indiana, her daughters, Connie Sue Sandage of Corydon, Julia Carol Linburger of Louisville, Theresa Marie Schuppert of Corydon, and Linda Machelle Melton of Lanesville, Indiana; her brothers, Thomas Edward Ritz of San Antonio, Texas and James Arthur Ritz of Salem, Indiana; her sisters, Vera Marie Massie of South Carolina, and Evelyn “MiMi” Graves and Carolyn Esther Russell both of Louisville; 22 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Webster Oglesby will officiate. Burial will be in Jordan Cemetery near Corydon.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Lincoln Hills Christian Church.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Pate, Sherman McAdams, Dewey and Joshua Singleton, Eric Bolen, Eric Ritz, Denny Denton and Brandon Gibson.
