Nathan Everett Shaffer, 21, of Elizabeth, died Thursday, January 12, 2017, at University of Louisville Hospital.  He was born July 12, 1995, in Louisville, to the late Philip Neal and Patricia Kathleen Bruce Shaffer.  He graduated from South Central High School in 2014, was employed with Elliss Construction in Elizabeth, and loved to cheer on the Cowboys, hunt, and spend time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandfather, Alvin Shaffer.

Survivors include his brother, Christian Philip Shaffer of Elizabeth; his sister, Haley Elaine Shaffer of Elizabeth; his grandparents, Judy Green Shaffer of New Middletown and Ronnie and Pat Lowe Bruce of Corydon; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  David O'Connor will officiate.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
