Mary Dimple Smith, 92, of Elizabeth, formerly of Columbia, Kentucky, died Friday, October 21, 2016, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.  She was born April 5, 1924, in Coburg, Kentucky, to the late Robert O. and Mary Etta Feese Sullivan.  She worked as an accounting clerk and receptionist and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2950 Ladies Auxiliary in Corydon, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin P. Smith; her daughter, Jacquelyn Thomas; and her brothers, W.G. and David Owen Sullivan.

Survivors include her sons, Ed Smith (Jean) of Corydon, Ralph Smith (Marsha) of Elizabeth, Joe Wayne Smith (Helen) of Midlothian, Texas, and Leonard B. Smith of Elizabeth; her sister, Dorothy Opal Sterling of Tucson, Arizona; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Darrell Biram will officiate.  There will be a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. (CST) Tuesday at Cane Valley Cemetery in Cane Valley, Kentucky.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
