Imogene “Jean” Clements, 81, died Monday, June 27, 2016, at her home near Laconia.  She was born June 12, 1935, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Ezra and Hattie L. Gilmore Hunter.  She was a life member of the V. F. W. Post 2950 Ladies Auxiliary in Corydon and was retired from General Electric in Louisville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles Hunter; her sisters, Mildred Payton, Altha Mae Boley, Ruth Steiner and Bonnie Wright; and her grandson, Christopher Wade Conrad.

Survivors include her husband, Alfred W. “Clem” Clements; her daughter, Jolonda J. Luther Yeargin (Sean) of Laconia; her brother, Russell Hunter (Helen) of Whiteland, Indiana; her niece, Shirley Sieboldt; and her faithful canine companion, Chloie Jo.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Dr. Charles Pelc will officiate.  Burial will be in Pfrimmer’s Chapel Cemetery near Corydon.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the American Cancer Society or your favorite humane society.

Pallbearers will be Mark Hornickle, Chip White, Ronnie Glenn McCarty, Rick Sieboldt, Jason Overton & Elmer Gurtz.  Honorary pallbearer will be Libby Gurtz.
