Glenda Alyne Cotner, 90, of Central, died Friday, November 25, 2016, at her home near Central.  She was born June 25, 1926, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to the late Walter F. and Mattie J. Fair Easley.  She was the former Harrison County Treasurer and Auditor, was a real estate agent for Schuler Bauer Real Estate, was a member of the Valley City Presbyterian Church and the Gospelettes singing group, and she was a master seamstress and quilter.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nyle E. Cotner; her son, Cody Cotner; and her sister, Joella Graves.

 

Survivors include her son, Kendall B. Cotner of Georgetown, Indiana; her daughters, Nylene Haun (Randy) of Denver, Colorado and Daphne Cotner of Louisville; her sister, Muriel Overstreet of Idabel, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Candice Cochran (Calvin), Jason Haun (Christie), Amy Youravich (Shane), Matthew Cotner (Rachel), Sarah Johnson and Karl Cotner; and her great grandchildren, Robert, Caitlyn, Faith, Zoey, and Collin.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Sharon Kutz-Mellem will officiate.  Burial will be in New Amsterdam Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Jason and Randy Haun, Karl Cotner, Shane Youravich, Joe Bliss, Jeremy Ward and Gary Ripperdan.  Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Cotner, Logan Dunaway, Roger Reed and Calvin Cochran.

 

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Valley City Presbyterian Church.
