Fredrick L. Owen, 75, of Corydon, died Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at his home near Corydon.  He was born August 10, 1941, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Clifford and Effie Langley Owen.  He was the owner of Owen’s Machinery since 1979, served on the Harrison County Hospital Board for 18 years, and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church near Corydon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Michael D. and Troy A. Owen; his brother, Clifford “Sonny” Owen, Jr.; and his sisters, Carolyn Bezy, Paula Neff and Beverly Kelley.

Survivors include his wife, Kay F. Kitterman Owen; his daughter-in-law, Billie Jo Redden (Jeff) of Corydon; his brothers, Chris Owen (Jenny) of Georgetown, Indiana and Doug Owen (Dorothy) of Greenville, Indiana; his sister, Barbara Bezy of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandchildren, Kayla Owen Tackett (Kyle), Alex Michael Owen (Teresa) and Meredith Owen Roberts (Paul); and his great grandchildren, Ellie, Ruger, Esmae, Willa and Easton.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Scott Blessitt will officiate.  Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 9:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Alex Owen, Kyle Tackett, Paul Roberts, Jeff Redden, Bob Fogg, Neil MacDonald, Rick Pflanz and Steve Taylor.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Ruger Roberts, Chris and Doug Owen, Larry and Danny Beanblossom, Steve Sternberg, John Purcell and David Wood.
