Frederick K. Cammack, 78, of Corydon, died Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Harrison Springs Health Campus near Corydon.  He was born April 10, 1939, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Lowell D. and Grace E. Keller Cammack.  He was retired from International Harvester in Louisville, was the Town of Corydon council president for 40 years, where he also served as town manager, was a member of Old Capitol United Methodist Church and the Corydon Rotary Club, was a charter member of the Corydon Optimist Club, was a Kentucky Colonel, was a representative of the Town of Corydon with the River Hills Economic Development District Regional Planning Commission in Jeffersonville, Indiana, was a U.S. Army veteran, and was awarded the Sagamore of the Wabash.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Regina Crosby Cammack.

 

Survivors include his brother, Ronald J. Cammack of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and his nephew, Matthew C. Cammack (Maggie) of Louisville, Kentucky.

 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Douglas Finney and Rev. Andy Hansen will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

 

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Friday at the Corydon Town Hall and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

 

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Falls of the Ohio Foundation.

 

Pallbearers will be Ronald and Matthew Cammack, J. Frederick Royse, Kenneth Bloom, Michael Schmidt and Arville LaHue, Jr..  Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Morris, Bob Rumple, David Limeberry and Ray Block.
