Floyd Thomas “Tom” Whistler, Jr., 69, of Corydon, died Monday, August 14, 2017, at BeeHive Assisted Living in Georgetown, Indiana. He was born January 26, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Floyd Thomas Whistler, Sr. and Martha “Eloise” Wilder Whistler. He was a retired teacher and was a member of Perseverance Chapel United Methodist Church near Corydon.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Lynn Puckett Whistler; his sons, Scott and Cory (Julia) Whistler; and his grandchildren, Ella and Weldon Whistler.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2017, at Perseverance Chapel United Methodist Church near Corydon. Pastor Scott Blessitt will officiate. Burial will be in Perseverance Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Hosparus of Southern Indiana.
Pallbearers will be Scott and Cory Whistler, Steve and Jim Shartzer, Allen Edwards and Alex Bailey.
