Eunice R. Walther, 87, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 15, 2016, at her home near Georgetown, Indiana. She was born April 27, 1929, in Gravelton, Missouri, to the late Reverend Omar and Ivera (Wilbrand) Rau. She was a talented cake decorator, loved to knit, crochet and travel, and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church near Lanesville, Indiana. She loved her family dearly and adopted three children with all the love they could ever need.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James L. Walther.
Survivors include her sons, Daniel Walther and Thomas Walther (Holly) both of Corydon; her daughter, Rebecca Kessinger (Jimmy) of Georgetown; her sisters, Carolyn Walther (Norbert) of Lanesville and Dorothy Kahre (Jim) of Evansville, Indiana; her grandchildren, Alexzandria and Jacob Kessinger, Jennifer Kellems (Matt), and Jamie, T.J., Cassandra and Travis (Angie) Walther; and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016, at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Rev. Ronald Richeson will officiate. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the church.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the St. John’s Lutheran Church General Fund or Cemetery Fund.
Pallbearers will be Alexzandria and Jacob Kessinger, Fletcher Tinius, Matt Kellems, and Felix, Jamie, T.J. and Travis Walther.
