Ed Wallace, Sr.
July 24, 2017Ed Wallace, Sr., 105, of Corydon, died Monday, July 24, 2017, at his home in New Salisbury. He was born February 8, 1912, in Cuba, Alabama, to the late Annie and Jim Wallace, Jr.. He was a retired coal miner in Harlan County, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ella Mae Sims Wallace; his daughters, Fannie Mae Snyder, Annie Mae Wallace and Janie Bell Simmons Morris; and 10 siblings.
Survivors include his son, Eddie Wallace, Jr. of Corydon; his sisters, Katherine Walker, Maerene Hines, Annie Williams, Jesse Johnson and Jennie Eades; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July, 29, 2017, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Robert Watkins and Rev. Marrissa Kendrick will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to St. Paul’s A.M.E. Church in Corydon.
