David Michael Gerdon, 58, of Laconia, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at his home near Laconia.  He was born March 3, 1958, in Corydon, to the late Woodrow L. “Woody” and Dorothy E. Barnickle Gerdon.  He was formerly employed at General Electric, Smurfit-Stone Container and United Catalyst all in Louisville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Monty Gerdon.

Survivors include his son, Michael David Gerdon (Stephanie) of Jeffersonville, Indiana; his daughter, Carrie Michelle Gerdon of Corydon; his brother, Dale L. Gerdon, Sr. (Sharon) of Laconia; his sisters, Mary Jo Wheeler, LuAnn Dennison (Bruce) and Laura Lea McCracken  all of Laconia; and his grandchildren, Taylor Crain, Dylan and Alex Gerdon and Mikaela Thomas.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
