Betty L. Needham, 82, of Corydon, died Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon. She was born September 7, 1935, in Benham, Kentucky, to the late Jesse L. and Velva Stamper Daugherty. She was the owner of B&J Upholstery, was employed as an independent contractor with Keller Manufacturing Company in Corydon where she upholstered seat cushions, and was a member of Hursttown United Methodist Church near Corydon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hobert E. Needham; her brothers, Bill and Pete Daugherty; and her sisters, Jo Hensley and Juanita Roden.
Survivors include her sons, Ronnie E. Needham (Linda) of Jeffersonville, Indiana and Allen Needham of Corydon; her brother, Bob Daugherty of Corydon; her grandchildren, Tammy DenBesten (Zack), Kristen Beech (Ben) and Nick Chaplin (Jessica); and her great grandchildren, Brayden and Brinley DenBesten.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at Hursttown United Methodist Church. Pastor Edith Bleecker will officiate. Burial will be in Hursttown Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon, and after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Kindred Hospice.
